Principal

Prior to his professional career, Gregg A. Spadaro, L.L.A., A.S.L.A. (NJ License #21AS00095100) was always drawn towards the arts, sciences, technology and the environment. This interest in multiple disciplines led him to the field of Landscape Architecture. Gregg’s passion for the profession and creative juices grew at the University of Massachusetts where he received a bachelor of science degree in Landscape Architecture.

After college, he worked for a prominent New Jersey-based civil engineering firm as the manager of their Landscape Architecture Department. This provided him with invaluable experience and helped him to add technical expertise to his creative-focused skill set.

During this time, he passed the 24-hour Landscape Architect Registration Examination (LARE) earning him the title of Licensed Landscape Architect. Ultimately, he became licensed in seven states including: CT, MD, MI, NJ, NY, PA, and VA.

With over 20 years of professional design and project management experience, Mr. Spadaro currently serves as the principal of Land Identity. Gregg is involved with all aspects of the business including: business development, due diligence research, project design, construction detailing, bid management, and construction management. He has a broad base of knowledge dealing with all facets of the land development process including: site inventory/analysis, site layout, material specification writing, grading and drainage, planting design, irrigation design, lighting design, and permitting from the local level up to the state level.

Gregg was a runner in a former life with a personal best of 4 minute, 55 second mile.  He interned on the floor of the NYSE but now just likes to pretend to be a day trader. Gregg loves a challenging day hike, a cruise along the Hudson River Park on rollerblades, or shredding the ski slopes of the northeast.

On weekends you can find him spending time with his family making home improvements with his artistic wife to their 1930’s craftsman, making morning stops with his daughter to their favorite local bagel shop, or racing RC cars with his son. Sorry pet lovers, hermit crabs are all they have.
